Career Fair Season - A Feb Trip to Indy ✈️

Date: 02/17/2026 - 02/19/2026 Event: Business Trip to Indy My job sent me to Indiana! Now, Indiana doesn't have much to offer but I love traveling so when the email was sent to visit career fairs I figured why not go? Life is about adventures and it's my year of saying yes to do doing new things and things out of my comfort zone in general. So I signed up and went! I had an early 6am flight which waking up early is not a big deal considering I wake up at 5am usually for my morning runs. So, I make it to the airport, grabbed Starbucks, and knock out for the duration of my flight. Once the flight had landed, I grabbed an Uber to Parlor Doughnuts to grab a sweet treat for the office to enjoy. There was no rental car this trip because it was like $800 for the 2.5 days I was there (absolutely insane pricing). Cheers To A New Year - 2026 Edition 🎆

Date: Wednesday 12/31/2025 Event: New Years Eve at Hard Rock It's 2026! Huzzah! My family has never been the type to really celebrate New Years so naturally I just do whatever the fuck I want. To kick off 2025 last year, the day before New Years Eve I impulsively accepted Cole's offer to spend NYE in Kentucky. This year, we weren't sure to spend it on the other coast of FL or in KY again. South Florida won because I wasn't trying to party in 7 degree weather. It was kind of perfect because Isa (my friend from high school) lives in Davie and had no plans. She also happens to live 15 minutes away from the Hard Rock Casino. Cole and I are two people who love partying and gambling so what better place to kick off the new year. I ended up taking a half day on the 31st, ran 5 miles, and then we were off to Ft Lauderdale by 330PM. Our conversation was a mix of everything on the way there but it made time fly super fast. 2025 Holiday Party Season 🥂

Date: Saturday 12/06/2025   Event: Company Holiday Party The month of December is upon us and my toughest weekend of this month is always the first. Why? The annual company holiday party. Now I won't mention said company name so this blog won't appear when you search its name but it was definitely something this year. Short preface, most companies maybe have a dinner or outing for their annual holiday event. If alcohol is involved most companies will cap it at two drinks tickets. That is simply not the case where I work.  My prep for the night started maybe around 1PM with an everything shower and I basically took it slowly to get ready. It was my official picture debut of my newly dyed choco brown hair so I had to look good, duh. My dress was thrifted for $13 (originally it sold for $280 so a complete steal), red french tip nails, hair curled, and makeup was on by 7PM. My First Hockey Game 🏑

Date: Friday, 11/21/2025 Event: Everblades vs Stingrays I love hockey !! This week, our admin team was offered the suite at Hertz arena and I threw my name in bucket for funsies since I never attended a hockey game. Let me tell you... I'm hooked. I love the way men throw their whole bodies, and the fights? Riveting! Chels came as my plus one and we were the second people to arrive. When we got there we had mozz sticks, egg rolls, and chicken tenders to set up our stomachs for success (it was in fact not successful). Plus a few Surfside's which we then transitioned into Michelob Ultra's (bad choice but it was free!). My coworkers were fun as always. Talked to Trevor and Feldman, Trevor definitely got to know me even more LOL. He mentioned how the 2023 holiday party is when he thought I was pretty cool when I broke my phone in front of him - I love how that was the catalyst to knowing each other at work more. Celebrating 13.1 Miles !! 👟

Date: Sunday 11/16/2025 Event: St Pete Run Fest Half Marathon Guess who woke up at 5am to run her first ever half-marathon? I did! I got up around 5am and got ready into my half-marathon fit (which I wish was cuter) but I wanted to be comfortable so I went with longer length black shorts, a pink Nike top, and my Nike Vomero 18's. My breakfast consisted of half a bagel with strawberry jam, Nuun electrolytes, & a banana (running a race is justified carb loading). Headed out by 545am and the walk to the starting line was nerve wrecking! My heart was at like 100-120 and I wasn't even running yet (my whole run was in zone 4/5 for this reason lol). None of my friends really run so I went solo but luckily when walking I saw somebody behind me who was also solo, I struck up conversation with her. I believe her name was Linda and she was such a nice person who helped calm my nerves by chit chatting with me and helped me put on my bib while waiting to use the bathroom. I forgot to as...
